Project: Kenya County Scoping Study for the proposed AgriBiz Programme
Assignment: In an effort to enhance gender equality and inclusivity in the agribusiness industry, the AgriBiz program focuses on women and youth in the agribusiness sector. The program aims to incubate start-ups with the potential to promote rural enterprise development for women and youth and support more than 3000 Kenyan women and youth-led agribusinesses in eight counties across Kenya. The scoping exercise involved the assessment of the status of agribusiness value chains within those counties, the role of women and youth Agripreneurs in those value chains, the policy environment, and market assessments.
